Panasonic TX-37LZD80 - 37" Widescreen 1080p Full HD LCD TV- With Freeview Forget about spending 200 more on the LZD85 100Hz and even more for the LZD800. I spent a very long time comparing these 3 models and found no difference in picture quality, even sport. I have combined this TV with the panasonic EX78 DVD Recorder and get excellent results . Sets up automatically right out the box and with a few minutes personal picture and audio tweaking its stunning. I would reccomend using quality scart cables as this WILL make a noticable difference!. I dont think you can go wrong with this model so comes Highly reccomended from me!!.
Fantastic TV - great price! September 26, 2008 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
Had the TV for well over a month now and I'm still impressed with it!
Watching TV from a Sky+ box I found some of the low-end channels were a bit fuzzy and rough around the edges - probably due to lower quality recording methods etc. But the high-end channels such as Sky, BBC, ITV, Dave, UKTV Style etc had flawless quality. I expect the same from Virgin as well.
Sitting a good 3 metres from the screen is perfect - average couch distance. The back of the TV has the usual collection of connections - Scarts, S-video, VGA and 3 HDMI.
I've read a few reviews elsewhere on the net on this TV and it didn't get a very high score (60% occasionally) - most reviewers commenting on the lack of quality in Freeview. Unfortunatly I havn't tried Freeview so I can't comment on this. But if you have Sky or Virgin I can assure you - the picture quality is among the best.
I've seen a lot of HD footage before on a wide assortment of TV's - Sony Bravias, Toshibas, Pioneer 60" TV's - and after watching a blu-ray film and playing xbox 360 in HD on this little Panasonic it has blown me away. You'd expect this level of quality from a TV costing twice as much.
Whole heartedly recommend.
Very good tv September 10, 2008 0 out of 7 found this review helpful
First off this tv tx-37lzd80 is a very nice looking Hd tv that has a swivel type stand as to the features of this model again all very good and nicly laid out and easy to under stand i did not get the chance to try the freeview since i have cable and as a default when you turn off the tv then back on it will go to the tv channel not the cable one :) easy to fix so that it will remember which it will use at switch on i do have a ps3 and again very nice in full 1080p games just look awesome over all sound again is good it would bennift from a home theature system again no rush to add that option picture wise depending on the program and how old it is the picture can be a bit blur ish of course hook this up to a Hd box from sky and or Vrigin media then it does come in to it's own if your looking for a mid price lcd then this is a good choice

I have received this item today, its excellent!, you will not regret buying this Item!, some reviews remark on the Black Colour on the screen is not that good..I have got to say I totally disagree, I have spent most of the night Tweaking the Picture settings and I cannot knock it at all!
Forget the rest this is the best!. September 1, 2008 18 out of 18 found this review helpful
Dont bother looking around,i spent a week online and in shops,in the end i narrowed it down to two, this model and its brother the TX-37LZD85,if you want to pay 200 extra for the 100hz model then go ahead its not worth it,at 630 you cannot go wrong just press the buy button, Happy days!.
PS buy Centurion GT7 Black Corner Contemporary Design Flat Screen 26"-43" Glass Stand on a well known auction site, its classy and alot cheaper than buying from a third party on here,
